The Account Associate - Sport exists to assure sport accounts are reaching their objective to fully represent the Lilly Pulitzer brand in each market in an A+ manner as well as providing operational support to the channel. The Account Associate - Sport will be responsible for sales for select sport accounts and providing seasonal and/or annual inventory and receipt levels. This also includes providing direction and supporting the implementation of a comprehensive solution focused on achieving growth within the total sports channel – including but not limited to golf, tennis, and luxletic distribution.

The Account Associate – Sport will uphold the Core Values of the company and will work to maintain these values throughout Sport distribution. The Account Associate - Sport will be primarily responsible for both the sell in and sell through of the Ladies’ Luxletic and Accessories product lines to this account base.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

The Account Associate will have key areas of responsibility:
  • Create, Grow, and report on Seasonal and Annual Sales Targets- The position will be accountable for achieving Gross Sales Projections for their accounts on an annual basis and will require evaluation of each current and potential account for viability and growth within the context of the overall Brand Distribution Strategy. The Account Associate – Sports’ primary responsibility is developing annual and seasonal sales targets for sport distribution and working operationally to execute. The Account Associate - Sport will review and discuss performance of each account and understand their contribution to the greater Wholesale Sales goals. The responsibility is broad in scope but focused on business analytics and performance of Sport channel. The effort is vital to the growth and success of the total Wholesale business.
  • Communication, Brand Presentation and Business Development - The Account Associate - Sport is the key party responsible for the success of the Specialty Sport business. It is expected that consistent communication with each account happens and knowledge of the assigned territory and other channels in the region is critical. The Account Associate - Sport will support each account in presenting the Brand’s product in an appropriate environment. This will include travel to key accounts and events to ensure that they are provided with appropriate support. The Account Associate – Sport will need to work closely with the company’s in-store merchandising and marketing staff to understand seasonal messages and opportunities. Ultimately the Account Associate – Sport (AE) must understand the health of each of their accounts, supporting owners/managers in business development, strategic planning, sales planning and growth. The Sport business is a rapidly growing category amongst Lilly Pulitzer’s wholesale distribution.
  • Market/Seasonal Sell-In Support This position will support Specialty accounts on a regular basis and, in partnership with the total Wholesale team will support market sell-in. The AE will be prepared, in partnership with the Wholesale team, to present product classifications and drive bookings seasonally. The AE will work with their account base to make suggestions, and finalize seasonal orders whether it be remote, in-person or at select tradeshows.
SKILLS REQUIRED:
Knowledge of the Lilly Pulitzer Brand, Wholesale Sport landscape and/or enthusiasm for the company.
Strong analytical skills and an ability to communicate well, verbally and in writing, with each account.
Ability to find the balance of needs between Sugartown Worldwide and his/her accounts.
Candidate should feel comfortable communicating cross-department the needs to support Account portfolio growth and possess strong interpersonal skills.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Efficient operational skills and customer service.
Creative problem solver and strategic thinker.
Ability to interpret numbers, retail math and performance into actionable insights.
Advanced Microsoft Office skills preferred, specifically Excel.
Ability to see the big picture needs of the total Wholesale channel and how the assigned portfolio will feed into its success.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
The candidate for the position will have a BA/BS in business or similar discipline with a strong academic background and a history of achievement and success.
Generally, 2+ years of either selling/buying apparel or hardgoods, or Wholesale/Retail operational experience.
Experience working within the Sports Industry is a plus

MISCELLANEOUS:
This position is classified as full-time salaried; it is exempt and is not eligible for overtime.
Given the seasonality of the business, this position may require flexible, additional working hours during peak periods.
The position may require up to 30% domestic travel.
This position can be remote based, with travel to our Home Office in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, required.
This position is reviewed annually.
