Job Responsibilities:

The Associate Director of Operations reports to the Director of Admissions and Strategic Recruitment for the Citadel Graduate College and College Transfer Programs and is responsible for the overall management of the Admissions Operations function of Graduate Programs (on-campus and on-line), Evening Undergraduate Programs (on-campus, on-line, Veteran Day, and Active Duty), and growing certification and continuing education programs.

The Associate Director facilitates the strategic recruitment plan of the CGC through this role. The position advances enrollment management planning and enhances the operational function of the division. The incumbent will provide coordination and support for the growth of both online and on-campus graduate and undergraduate programs.

The incumbent will:

  • Coordinate the implementation of a high-touch, high-energy recruitment plan through personalized communication. Assist the Director in the creation, monitoring, analysis, and reporting appropriate metrics to inform and guide operational decisions related to the impact of recruitment, marketing, retention initiatives, including the effectiveness of financial aid offers.
  • Provide leadership for the operations function of the office to include application processing functions, call center functions, and creation and delivery of communication strategies. Create and manage processes to monitor the effectiveness of the enrollment initiatives: data clean-up reporting, error reporting, call sheets, program related recruitment reports to college-wide stakeholders.
  • Plan, develop, implement, monitor, and evaluate the integration of technology into the execution of the entire enrollment process, from recruitment through enrollment. Collaborate closely with the Deputy Director of Admissions of the South Carolina Corps of Cadets (SCCC) to ensure shared systems are satisfactorily serving admissions functions for the entire College.
  • Oversee the implementation, integration, and management of a variety of third-party systems designed to increase the inquiry pool in order to strategically increase enrollment in targeted programs.
  • Manage and plan work schedules for the Operations team and Graduate Assistants to ensure proper staffing and prioritization of the workload.
  • Collaborate with IT and various campus offices to identify opportunities for enhancing operational efficiencies and automatic workflows.
  • Ensures the efficiency of admission procedures by developing and maintaining procedure manuals for admissions and coordinating informational updates with other administrative offices.

Minimums Qualifications:

The Associate Director will oversee the data operations of the department. The ability to work independently or with minimal supervision is critical. Reporting to the Director, this individual must possess the characteristics of initiative, cooperativeness, loyalty, and integrity.

Bachelor’s degree required. Must have higher education admissions recruitment or enrollment management related experience, including knowledge of one or more of the following: recruitment/admissions data processing, prospective student management, and targeted recruitment efforts.

Pay: $55,000.00 - $68,000.00 per year
