About this Opportunity
As an Associate Process Engineer, you'll be responsible for providing operational leadership for process development, new product development, and other operational and continuous improvement initiatives. The Associate Process Engineer role serves as the operational lead to complement the engineering and manufacturing teams in providing development and implementation support. You'll act as the liaison with manufacturing, engineering, and new product development teams to ensure products flow successfully through manufacturing.

- Manage programs to support key product and process strategies, emphasizing teamwork, leadership, and project management.
- Collaborate with engineering, operations, and product development leadership to ensure meeting project goals while meeting MillerKnoll standards and best practices.
- Define, locate, and secure internal and external manufacturing resources and establish a network to maintain critical manufacturing processes and controls.
- Ensures that MillerKnoll Production System (MKPS) principles and quality operating standards are reflected in all project results.
- Maintain communication with the project teams and operational support groups to ensure successful implementation within the program directives.
- Provide communication links with operations teams to ensure the current availability of project data and status updates.
- Provide leadership and insight into the new or evolving manufacturing processes and material applications.
- Provide operational expertise and insight into the solution, design, development process and methodology to provide operative direction and rigor.
- Provide operational leadership to the order fulfillment functions of the project programs.
- Serve as liaison to and represents operating units in support of vertical integration opportunities and/or outsourcing decisions.
- Strategically position the manufacturing site plan product offerings to meet required customer lead-time expectations by developing programs, processes, and distribution capabilities.
- Solidify key links between site personnel and appropriate core team members to guarantee successful project implementation and facilitate strong tie site resources to meet the teams' needs and success.

You might be just who we’re looking for if you have . . .
- A Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Operations, Quality Engineering, or any other relevant engineering degree with one to three-plus years of experience in manufacturing operations.
- A relevant technical degree or associate degree with four plus years of experience providing development and implementation support to product development initiatives, with progressively increasing scope and complexity, will be considered in place of a bachelor's degree.
- A background in continuous improvement, lean manufacturing, and/or quality control with an engineering mindset.
- Leadership experience in managing, inspiring, and guiding a team while actively achieving team goals through respect and collaboration with team members.
- Demonstrated experience and results in establishing operational excellence for the development and commercialization support of manufactured goods.
- Communication skills capable of effectively giving and receiving information in both written and verbal form that is both constructive and informative in directing business activities.
- Ability to adapt under shifting conditions with multiple tasks, responsibilities, and people.
- Strong commitment to meeting all established project timelines.
- Strong interpersonal skills, leadership, problem-solving, initiative, business acumen, adaptability, flexibility, and tenacity are required to persevere in providing effective solutions.
- Ability to effectively learn using software and tools used in the MillerKnoll office and shop floor environments.
- Lean Manufacturing certification is a plus.
