Mosaic Biosciences is seeking an Associate Scientist or Scientist to assist the Analytical Development Functional Team in providing the highest level of work for our partners. This position will support multiple drug-discovery programs by collaborating with other scientists to carry out daily lab activities and experiments. The candidate will use a variety of techniques to characterize and quantify materials at various stages of the drug discovery process. An ideal candidate will have experience with Surface Plasmon Resonance (SPR), Biolayer Interferometry (BLI), ELISAs, and HPLC.
Responsibilities:
- Design and perform a variety of biophysical, biochemical, and bioanalytical experiments.
- SPR, BLI, SDS-PAGE, Western Blot, HPLC, ELISA, UV-Vis
- Kinetic assays, Epitope binning, Ligand competition assay, activity assays
- Sample testing for PK/PD studies, formulation of final products
- Act as a liaison for various projects (dependent on level).
- Maintain a detailed and accurate electronic notebook for all research activities.
- Assist with routine instrument maintenance.
- Contribute to the development of best practices for the Analytical Development Functional Team.
- Analyze and evaluate issues and make decisions within general parameters under little to no supervision.
- Analyze and present data to a diverse group of scientists.
Associate Scientist Qualifications:
- BS/BA in Biochemistry, Chemistry, or other related field with at least 1 year of industry experience.
- Industry experience preferred
- Experience with SPR/BLI preferred.
- Ability to analyze and interpret experimental data.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to interact constructively with coworkers.
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multi-task.
- Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Compensation Range: $55,000 - $75,000.
This is a full-time position in Boulder, CO with in-person work in our labs.
Scientist Qualifications:
- PhD or equivalent in Biology, Biochemistry, or other related field with 3+ years of industry experience required.
- Strong scientific background and ability to synthesize literature to guide experimental design.
- Experience with SPR/BLI required.
- Ability to analyze and interpret experimental data.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to interact constructively with coworkers.
- A desire to mentor younger scientists and pursue leadership roles.
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multi-task.
- Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Compensation Range: $90,000 - $110,000.
This is a full-time position in Boulder, CO with in-person work in our labs.
