The Client – JBAndrews is partnering with a global leader in market research for animal health and agriculture, and is seeking an experienced market research professional to lead research efforts for a portfolio of established animal health clients and provide support and leadership to a dedicated research team. You will join a team of global research professionals focused specifically on companion and food animal market research. Previous market research experience is required; background and/or experience in animal health is highly valued but not necessary.

Job Purpose

  • Key project lead with responsibility for medium to large clients
  • Responsible for project design and execution, with guidance and support
  • Focus on research design and proposal as well as supporting project management and execution
  • The day-to-day-project lead to medium and highly complex projects, including global projects
  • Support and respond to client requests, both project-related and ad hoc
  • Present research results to clients

Key Activities

Research Design & Proposal Development

  • Compile costs including designing RFPs and working with the RFQ team to get costs and estimating research hours and price studies for clients (with guidance)
  • Develop proposals for simple to complex projects, including the recommendation of appropriate methodology and analytical tools
  • Design, write and revise questionnaires and topic guides, desk research on topics/client’s business
  • Work with Marketing Science to include appropriate design/tools
  • Design sample, including regional or size quotas and weighting if needed

Project Execution

  • Project manager for medium to highly complex projects
  • Deliver the projects with high quality and according to plan
  • Alignment and collaboration with internal groups
  • Keeping the project budget
  • Handling of day-to-day issues of the project OR support a small team of managers as they handle day-to-day issues
  • Design studies, choose research tools, and plan analyses and reporting

Quantitative Research Activities:

  • Draft questionnaires and lead discussions with clients to review.
  • Oversees the data collection processes such as preparing study specifications for Operations and/or agencies, client reports, drafting questionnaires, quota monitoring, sample delivery, troubleshooting and testing.
  • Ensure quality of data collection and sample screening instruments.
  • Edit questionnaire/survey items.
  • Monitors data collection procedures/instruments.
  • Oversee / coordinate table specifications, report population, data analysis and reporting.

Qualitative Research Activities:

  • Draft discussion guides and lead discussions with clients to review
  • Brief research partners and design reporting template for colleagues and agencies
  • Incorporate advanced interviewing principles and practices when appropriate
  • Conduct in-depth interviews as needed, or oversee moderators who conduct the interviews

Analysis & Reporting

  • Create impactful reports with detailed and meaningful insights, using storytelling and infographic methods
  • Write headlines/executive summary, including client recommendations
  • Present results to the customer (market research and various roles at clients)

Quantitative Research Activities:

  • Design presentation templates and coordinate resources for populating reports
  • Analyze data and cross-tabs to develop meaningful implications and recommendations
  • Ultimately responsible for the final deliverable to the client

Qualitative Research Activities:

  • Effectively analyze interview material
  • Produces comprehensive country reports and insightful global reports, including implications and recommendations

Client Management

  • Effectively analyze interview material

Managerial Responsibilities

  • Potentially manage a small team of 2 to 4 researchers
  • Advise and monitor other employees involved in projects for your clients, ensuring that expectations are clearly defined and communicated

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree (preferred)
  • Typically, 8 to 10 years of work experience in supplier side market research – preference is given to candidates with animal/pet health market research experience
  • Knowledge of Animal Health industry specifics (highly desired)
