Audiology Assistant Job at Fyzical Jersey City Heights
JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Audiology Assistant acts as a support person for the Audiologists and the other Therapy Support Specialists. Besides scheduling through direct phone calls, scheduling also occurs through use of the Referral Tracker in the CounselEar System. Chart preparation, scanning of documents, billing, ordering, reminder calls are all part of the position. Direct patient care involves providing patients support with their hearing aids, completing minor hearing aid repairs and reprogramming hearing aids, as indicated. Support for the audiologists includes ordering/tracking and processing hearing aids/repairs, scheduling, intake, prepping patients for diagnostic testing and general/clerical work as required. Enjoying phone interactions with adults, and working directly with people across the age span is a must. This job requires attention to detail, people skills, and the ability to work well with multiple interruptions.
EDUCATION:
High School graduate. Pursuit of audiology assistant certification, or hearing aid dispensing license preferable. CPR certification required.
EXPERIENCE:
Some experience in the Medical setting is preferred. Experience working with the elderly, differently abled or children required.
