JOB DESCRIPTION:

One River CPA's is looking for an Audit Manager to work in any of our three locations: Bath, Oakland, or Augusta. Our firm is a dynamic firm with cutting edge technology that offers competitive pay and a benefit package that includes flex time, alternative schedules, and the ability to work remotely. The successful candidate will be a self starter that is willing to contribute to the firm growth and development to ensure our continued success.

Essential Duties:

  • Understands the firm’s policies and procedures, including maintaining awareness and understanding of, and compliance with, the firm’s code of ethics, independence rules and quality control practices.
  • Exhibits professionalism, enthusiasm and respect in all interactions with clients and guests.
  • Directs and reviews the work of Sr Accountants and accountants, and serves as a mentor.
  • Establishes and retains quality client relationships.
  • Represents the firm in a professional manner through ongoing involvement with community and charitable activities.
  • Demonstrates a command of knowledge and familiarity with pertinent IRC sections and regulations and/or GAAP, GAAS and Government Audit Standards.
  • Demonstrates expertise in tax and accounting research techniques and a familiarity with the various research sources in the firm library and on the Internet.
  • Demonstrates expertise in the firm’s technology.
  • Provides feedback of Sr Accountants and accountants, managing their performance on an ongoing basis.
  • Assumes responsibility for the supervision of tax return preparation engagements as appropriate.
  • Maintains current knowledge and achieves continued professional growth through an ongoing review of professional journals and publications, attendance at appropriate meetings and seminars and a commitment to lifelong learning.
  • Interacts harmoniously and effectively with others, focusing upon the attainment of firm goals and objectives through a commitment to teamwork.
  • Performs other related tasks, as requested.
