Authorization Specialist Job at Intercoastal Medical Group
Intercoastal Medical Group, Inc. is seeking a detailed oriented individual for an Insurance Authorization Specialist position for a multispecialty office. The responsibilities may include but not limited to: verifying insurance benefits/coverage; contacting the insurance carrier for authorization requirement; submitting medical records when required; acting as a liaison between the insurance carrier and provider; notifying the patient of the authorization status & if any payment is due at time of service; notifying the ordering provider if authorization is denied; and may be obtaining authorizations for specialty office visits, procedures, medications and diagnostic ancillary testing.
Requirements:
*High School Diploma or Equivalent
*Medical Terminology Knowledge
*Current Medical Office Experience (preferred)
*Strong Computer Skills
*Basic HIPAA Knowledge
*Medical Insurance Knowledge (a plus)

Pay: From $16.00 per hour
