Overview of the role
A critical component of our planning and forecasting processes is the forecasting of the composition and performance of our investment portfolio under multiple macroeconomic scenarios. The AVP – FP&A – Investment Coordination and Analytics will lead a team responsible for coordinating the forecasting of the investment portfolio, working closely with the Enterprise Risk Management, Investment, and Investment Accounting functions, as well as the CFOs of our business segments. This role will also be responsible for analyzing and reporting on the composition and performance of the investment portfolio against historical periods, budgets and forecasts.
Responsibilities
  • Coordinate calendar for and production of macroeconomic factors underlying scenarios approved for planning and forecasting
  • Accumulate, review and challenge assumptions and business segment inputs to be utilized in investment planning and forecasting processes
  • Execute process for allocating surplus assets to business segments in planning and forecasting exercises
  • Analyze outputs from investment planning and forecasting processes, with a focus on portfolio composition and returns, under both US GAAP and Statutory accounting lenses
  • Produce standardized management reports and analytics for the Corebridge Finance leadership team
  • Oversee implementation of and change management controls around new tools, templates, and technology designed to improve FP&A planning and forecasting capabilities
  • Develop, implement, and maintain model governance processes and best practices
  • Lead and develop a small team of finance professionals
Requirements
  • A bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field preferred; professional certification (e.g., CFA, or CPA) a plus
  • Advanced knowledge of investment industry required; experience in valuing and accounting for investments preferred
  • Strong knowledge of finance and accounting required
  • Excellent analytical skills and knowledge of investment modeling
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Microsoft Excel, and experience with data visualization tools
  • Experience working in a large, complex, and dynamic organization a plus
  • Comfortable performing effectively in fast-paced environment that requires problem solving
  • Supportive of effective partnerships with key internal stakeholders, demonstrating strong collaboration skills
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage and develop a diverse team with strong collaboration and communication skills

For positions based in New York City, the base salary range is $121,000 - $152,000. For positions based in California, the base salary range is $110,000-$150,000.
