Who you are: the Banquet Manager leads a team of event service staff onsite at events in the delivery of service and hospitality at one of Brooklyn’s premier wedding venues. The Banquet Manager is responsible for maintaining service standards and best practices in a high-volume environment and creating an extraordinary client and guest experience. What you’ll do:

• Create daily service packets for all functions across multiple venues to be posted weekly and daily on banquet floor
  service boards. Packets to include all applicable paperwork such as BEOs, floor plans, buffet diagrams, and setup
  sheets to detail all setup/service/side work expectations.
• Conduct Staff pre-shift service meetings daily to communicate important news/information to the staff as well as
  continuously review service and hospitality standards.
• Coordinate setup and execution of all functions with in-house teams with advance notice.
• Monitor porter and dishwashing cleaning lists via walkthroughs of the space at the start and end of each day to ensure
  appropriate maintenance and cleanliness of all venue spaces
• Manage in-house audio/visual, HVAC, alarm, and structural equipment and fixtures (i.e. screens, blinds) of the venue
  spaces cooperatively with BBG maintenance and facilities teams. Have basic knowledge of their operation and
  troubleshooting methods.

• Deliver weekly inventory reports for, but not limited to, non-alcoholic beverages, small wares, dry goods, alcohol and
  event-related supplies to Catering Director and General Manager

• Submit staff requests in CaterXpert for events and work closely with the USE Service team to ensure proper levels based
  on each event's needs and details

What we need from you:

• 3+ years experience in Hospitality Management

• Strong understanding of Service and Operations as it pertains
  to Catering

• Proficiency in all roles needed to manage an event including
  but not limited to Bussing, Passing Food, Table Service,
  Expediting, Bartending, Sanitation, and Captaining

• Strong understanding of event logistics and requirements

• Strong understanding of varied and diverse cuisine and
  beverage

• Strong leadership, organizational management, and delegation

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, verbal and
  written
