We are growing our team at Identity Coffee Co.! We're currently looking for friendly and attentive coffee-loving baristas who can provide excellent customer service at our exciting, new location in the main lodge of Wachusett Ski Mountain in Princeton/ Westminster, MA! Training will be provided, so prior barista experience is not required but absolutely a plus! This tends to be a busy, high-volume location (with usually higher than average tips!) so we are looking for high-energy, outgoing individuals who enjoy being around people and can work well in a fast-paced, bustling environment. This specific location comes with extra perks including free annual ski passes at Wachusett!

Job brief

Barista responsibilities include educating customers on our menu, making recommendations based on their preferences, up-selling special items and taking orders. To be successful in this role, you should have customer service skills and knowledge of how brewing equipment operates. You should also be able to work various shifts. Note: this position’s compensation includes hourly wage plus tips.

Ultimately, you’ll ensure an excellent experience for our guests.

Responsibilities

• Warmly greet customers as they enter
• Be able to successfully help a customer with questions about the menu and have a comprehensive understanding of the process and ingredients
• Take orders quickly while paying attention to details (e.g. preferences of coffee blend, dairy and sugar ratios)
• Prepare beverages and food items following recipes
• Serve beverages and prepared food, like cookies, pastries and muffins
• Receive and process payments (cash and credit cards)
• Keep the bar area clean
• Maintain stock of cups, napkins, etc
• Check if brewing equipment operates properly and report any maintenance needs
• Comply with health and safety regulations
• Communicate customer feedback to managers and recommend new menu items
