Mellow Mushroom is a fun, cool, laid-back, eclectic, full-service pizza restaurant. 24 drafts, 50 bottles, craft cocktails, and a great wine list. Inside and outside dining and bar areas. As a Bartender, you ensure consistent drink quality by preparing orders quickly and by recipes and guidelines. You will also maintain a clean, sanitary, and safe work area in a fast-paced environment. We do not want robots we want different types of people that can work together as a team. Flexible hours. A good dress code. Mellow t-shirts, jeans, and tennis shoes.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Make sure the guests are taken care of 100%!!! and don’t forget to have fun while doing it
- Checking identification to ensure customers are of the legal age to purchase alcohol.
- Handling cash, credit, and debit card transactions, ensuring charges are accurate, and returning correct change to patrons, and balancing the cash register.
- Maintaining a clean work and dining area by removing trash, cleaning tables, and washing glasses, utensils, and equipment.
- Developing new cocktail recipes.
Requirements:
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Minimum of 1 year of experience operating a full-service bar
- Knowledge of alcohol mixology, drink menus, and classic cocktail preparation
- Ability to stand on feet for an extended period
- Ability to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent customer service skills with a strong ability to interact with guests
- Verbal communication skills, and accurate math and cash handling skills
