Batch Operator Job at Catawba Valley Staffing, Inc
Catawba Valley Staffing in Valdese is actively seeking motivated individuals to work as a Batchmaker in the Hudson area.
Great Opportunity for long-term growth. All shifts are available.
This position will pre-batch, incorporate and blend raw materials, following detailed processing instructions to create a batch of stains. The incumbent is responsible for the batch's compositional correctness to be processed.
Major Tasks Performed:
- Review batch tickets for processing instructions.
- Identify, select, pull and stage approved raw materials for manufacturing.
- Select and utilize an appropriate measuring device to accurately weigh raw materials.
- Maintain records of premixes/batches completed daily.
- Tank cleaning and selection appropriate to batch size.
- Maintain housekeeping and cleanliness of work area as determined by management.
- Selection and proper incorporation of raw materials based on written instructions.
- Maintain raw material samples from daily premixes.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by Supervisor
Preferred Qualifications:
- One year of experience working with machinery in a manufacturing environment
- Experience watching gauges, dials, or other indicators to make sure a machine is working properly
- Experience blending and making a product in a batch process
- Experience monitoring the quality of raw materials or finished goods
