Baytown Branch - Full Time Teller I Job at Shell Federal Credit Union
Provide exceptional member service in response to member needs and requests. Assist members with their financial transactions, involving paying and receiving cash and other negotiable instruments.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Consistently meet all Shell FCU Service Commitments; Shell FCU Employee Creed and Shell FCU Service Distinctions.
- Accountable to maintain knowledge of and comply with all applicable rules and regulations required within the scope of duties, including, but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act.
- Required to attend annual training sessions as instructed or scheduled.
- Receives and processes member financial transactions, including but not limited to deposits, withdrawals and loan payments; transfers amounts from member accounts as directed.
- Work within assigned Teller I limits.
- Investigates and resolves out-of-balance conditions immediately.
- Cross-sells credit union services based upon member needs.
- Prepare CTR & SAR worksheets as required.
- Receive / log night drop under dual control procedures.
- Meet / Exceed teller referral goals.
- Auto-In to phone calls while on the teller line.
- Assist Vault teller with daily responsibilities as needed.
- Performs additional duties as assigned.

Knowledge and Skills
- Experience:
- Minimum six months of similar or related cash handling experience acquired through banking or retail.
- Education / Training:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Job Requirements:
- Knowledge of credit union products and services
- Welcoming and helpful demeanor
- Must possess professional verbal communication skills
- Ten key calculator and basic computer skills
- Accuracy with numbers and attention to detail are needed
- Courtesy, tact, and diplomacy are essential elements of the job
- Physical Demands:
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to bend and stand. May at times be able to lift, carry and/or move up to 15 pounds.
