AHRC Suffolk is currently hiring clinicians in our Day Program setting for a 35 hour Behavior Intervention Specialist (BIS) position. We offer a competitive salary based on years of BIS experience and credentials. Current salary for Master Level clinicians ranges from $52,700-$58,000. This clinician will report to the Assistant Director of the Behavioral Health Services Department.
Requirements
- Master’s degree from a program in a clinical or treatment field of psychology, social work, school psychology, or applied psychology * At least 1 year of experience supporting people with developmental disabilities, including the development, implementation, and monitoring of Behavior Support Plans and/or providing supervision and training to others in the implementation of behavior support plans. In an impactful role, the Behavior Intervention Specialist will: Utilize cognitive and behavioral approaches to teach skills and prosocial behavior through the implementation of Behavior support plans. Observe behavioral responses, model evidence based behavioral interventions, and provide clinical input to team members. Implement staff training to empower staff to support men and women with disabilities. Participate as a clinical team member by leading and participating in inter-disciplinary team meetings to develop and ensure behavioral interventions are implemented with fidelity across settings. Provide consultation, mentoring, and training.
