BENEFIT SPECIALIST Job at Hugh Chatham Memorial Hospital
This position monitors, directs and develops the benefits administration site, monitors FMLA and the new hire preparation process, and coordinates benefits activities. Oversees employee badge distribution, processes unemployment claims and maintains compliance for ADA regulations.
Education and Formal Training: High School diploma and business or secretarial training.
Work Experience: Minimum of two (2) years secretarial experience, with HR experience preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required: Demonstrates a high level of mental and emotional tolerance and even temperament when dealing with people; uses tact, sensitivity, sound judgment, and a professional attitude when relating with patients, families, and co-workers at all times. Must have thorough knowledge of typing and possess personal computer skills. Position requires a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office. The ability to compose business letters and memos. Must have exceptional public relations skills and ability to maintain professional posture at all times. Must develop knowledge of current hospital emergency policies and procedures, fire, safety, disaster, and infection control policies.
