This position is located at our Fort Worth, TX corporate office and has the potential to be a hybrid position with up to 50% remote work.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Administration of FMLA Leave, including reviewing supporting documentation, interpretation of BNSF policy and Federal Regulations, and supporting Labor relations by providing appropriate guidance.
  • Assist employees initiating disability.
  • Provide support to the benefits area including but not limited to: condolence letters, adoption benefits, etc.
  • Respond to emails and voice mail messages from employees, retirees, and others outside the company.
  • Conduct research on and resolve a broad range of benefit issues.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 1 year of working experience in a customer service type role.
  • Superior customer service skills in responding to inquiries from all levels of employees and customers.
  • Able to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent personal organization, planning and time management.
  • Must be able to work independently and as a team player.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain positive relationships with team members and stakeholders.
  • Proficient in Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience working with a HRIS system, preferably SAP.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field.
  • Previous work experience/knowledge in Benefits, FMLA or a human resources-type role.
