TITLE: Beverage Cocktail Server

The Cocktail Server takes cash from the guest and buys drinks from the bartender.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Have a small bank to be able to purchase liquor and beer drinks from the bartender and change the customer.
• Ensure all orders are properly rung up on the point of sales computer.
• Open assigned areas/outlets at the proper time and to the standard set. Must be in the station and ready to work at the start of shift.
• All guests visibly looking 30 years old and under must be checked for proper identification to ensure being over the age 21 before having any alcoholic beverages
• Watch for any intoxicated guests and abuse problems. When situation occurs notify Beverage Manager, Food and Beverage Supervisor or Management on duty.
• Garnish mixed drinks according to set standards/procedures
• Report to work at the assigned and scheduled time in the proper uniform shoes and appearance

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• At least two (2) years experience preferred as a food/cocktail server in a large volume bar/restaurant or casino bar. Prior working experience as a food server is grounds for consideration.
• Thorough knowledge of all emergency procedures and exits, safety and cleaning procedures.
• Knowledge of all the cleaning and chemical supplies
• Have the ability to provide excellent customer service and communication skills
• Computer knowledge of how to run the info genesis machine and printers.
• Knowledge of drinks.
• Take drink orders from guest and serve in a proper and courteous manner must pick up any dirty glassware and dispose of beer bottles.

PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL:

• Must have ability to lift 35lbs.
• Able to work/ stand (be on your feet) for long periods of time in a fast paced environment.
• The noise levels range from low to high.
• The immediate work environment may be a smoking environment.

REPORTS TO: Beverage Manager

SUPERVISES: none

HOURS: The casino operates 24/7. Schedule, shift, and hours will vary.
