The Business Intelligence Developer is responsible for helping implement and maintain processes required of a data processing pipeline in support of our products and services. Developer is experienced in data extraction, data exploration, data manipulation and reporting, they are also responsible for maintaining database integrity in terms of both efficiency and security. This position will also assist in maintaining analytics programs and collaborating with IT and various teams to ensure we are optimizing our resources. The BI Developer also provides consultative support to Business Analysts and leadership. This position is responsible for evaluating the business and end user data requirements and develops analytical and reporting tools to address those needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop and maintain Data Warehouse solutions to support reporting requirements of different stakeholders across multiple business departments which include: Accounting,

Business Office, Marketing, Operations, etc.

• Conceptualize, design, development of data models, and automated processes
• Adhere to processes and design best practices to ensure data extractions meet quality standards and are enhanced for analytical purposes to support “single source of truth”
• Design, develop, test, tune and implement procedural database code using ETL tools and

Microsoft SQL Server

• Design and develop ETL procedures using SQL, SSIS, or ETL equivalent tool
• Create, propose and maintain technical documentation design documentation which includes current and future ETL development functionality
• Responsible for support and maintenance for the Enterprise Data Warehouse
• Understand and evaluate existing SQL and or Data Modeling; develop SQL database views, tables and stored procedures
• Manage and maintain front end user facing production Power BI environment
• Create data models, visualizations, security roles, data refresh schedules and paginated reports for requested report projects using Power BI
• Develop, manage and maintain data dictionaries, metadata, and process flow documentation
• Maintain the performance of database servers, SQL server automated jobs and queries; diagnose and troubleshoot database errors

• Assure compliance with all company plans, policies and procedures set forth by the

Orthopaedic Institute

• All other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, or a related field of study, or equivalent experience
• 3+ years of experience working with ETL procedures such as SSIS, Azure Data Factory or equivalent ETL tool
• 3+ years of experience developing Data Warehouse queries
• 3+ years of experience managing/maintaining Microsoft SQL Server
• 2+ years of experience with BI tools such as Power BI, Cognos, or SSRS
• Experience developing a data model, maintaining a data warehouse and analytics environment, and writing scripts for data integration and analysis
• Experience designing solutions leveraging a diverse assortment of data sources
• Database analysis and design experience with Microsoft SQL Server and/or other relational databases
• Demonstrated ability to write clear code that is well documented and stored in a versional control system
• Ability to write queries using complex joins and ability to fine tune queries
• Ability to read, interpret, analyze, and communicate effectively verbally and in written form
• Excellent listening, interpersonal, communication and problem-solving skills
• Effective time management skills, ability to manage multiple tasks and projects
• Experience with health care data is preferred
• Flexibility to work both independently and within a team

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $90,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
