Position Summary: * Shepherd Electric Supply, a leading Wholesale Distributor since 1892, headquartered in Baltimore with locations in Laurel, Frederick, Washington DC, and Northern Virginia, is seeking a motivated, dependable, self-starter to join our Gear team. The ideal candidate will be organized, process driven, time sensitive and have a high attention to detail. This person will want to grow within the team and will be a critical thinker. This is an entry level position with tremendous opportunity for growth.

Schedule: *Monday Friday, 7:30 am - 4:30 pm

Essential Functions: *

• Coordinate customer bid inquiries with Shepherd gear team
• Connect customers with team members to ensure quotations are delivered in a timely manner
• Provide team with insights on customer requests, communicate with customers.
• Proficient in Outlook, Excel, Adobe, and File Transfer sites.
• Engage with the team in both digital and print, collate customer requests and documents
• Desire to grow and build technical skills
• Confidence to provide input on current process and a desire to improve them
• Growth opportunity to Quote small jobs directly to contractors.
• Growth opportunity processing orders directly with suppliers.
• Assist the entire team in customer and vendor facing project management:
• Expediting and tracking, Change orders, and Returns processing

• Performs all other associated tasks assigned by Leadership team

Strong communication skills - phone, email, and in person.

• Excellent computer skills - Word, Excel, Adobe, Outlook, Internet.
• Detail oriented, timely, deadline driven.
• Readily teachable, works well alone and with others.
• Basic understanding of construction industry.
