Big Woods is a local, homebrewed company that started in a Nashville, Indiana alley as single bar and brewery. In 10 short years, we have expanded to multiple restaurant locations and added a large brewery and distilling company. Big Woods is dedicated to serving Indiana with the finest local brews, cocktails and midwestern comfort food.
Big Woods Restaurant Group is looking to hire a Training Specialist.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate with Training Manager on creating, developing, and implementing all training on a companywide level. Work on assisting in creating updated operational procedures and training guides in a multitude of formats.
- Learn processes by working various shifts in various jobs through out the company. Take note of procedures and areas for improvement. Report that information to Training Manager and coordinate to create training guidelines.
- Travel to various locations for training rollouts. Train team on new or updated procedures.
- Assist with LMS (Learning Management System) administration.
- Follow up with managers and teammates on training, feedback, and overall follow up on training and procedures.
- Assist in restaurants when needed.
- All other tasks when required.

Requirements and skills:
- Must have 1+ years experience as trainer in a restaurant.
- Must have 1+ years experience as a supervisor/manager in a restaurant.
- Must have both kitchen and front-of-house experience.
- Must be able to travel to restaurant locations.
- Must be able to use computer applications to draft procedures.
- Must have great communication skills.
- Must have great punctuality and attendance.
- Must be 21+ in age.
