Job Summary:*
The Bilingual Case Manager is responsible for completing the family reunification process and placement recommendation for unaccompanied minors upon assessing their needs, developing Individual Services Plans, screening for human trafficking and safety concerns, interviewing potential sponsors and documenting the provision of services, to ensure a safe and timely discharge.

ABOUT THE PROGRAM:*
ORR Immigrant Youth Services - Shelter Our shelter is well equipped to comfortably house and care for up to 50 youth at a time. The youth are place in our residential facility by the Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR) with the main purpose of assessing and completing family reunification in a timely manner. In our residential facility, the youth have access to education, medical, case management, mental health, legal and religious services. The shelter serves adolescent boys and girls (11 – 17 years of age) who primarily arrive from Latin American countries, and occasionally from other countries such as Southeast Asia, Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa.

Responsibilities:*

• Oversees all aspects of the unaccompanied minor case including intakes, assessments, family reunification, communication, background checks, transportation, and discharges.
• Maintain case file documentation in compliance with ORR requirements.
• Maintain confidentiality when gathering, documenting, consulting, or consolidating information necessary for the case management plan of care.
• Maintain regular contact with each unaccompanied minor, their families in home country and sponsors to ensure a timely reunification.
• Coordinate with established service providers and stakeholders to communicate case planning and progress.
• Monitor the access to client services as needed, including but not limited to medical appointments, religious services, community resources, etc.
• Complete reports and recommendations regarding the case progress.

Required Education and Work Experience:*

• Bachelor’s degree in the behavioral sciences, human services, or social services fields
• Must be able communicate effectively in Spanish with clients, clients’ families, government, and consulate officials
• Must be age 21 or older

Valued Experience:*

• Child welfare and/or case management experience
• Interviewing and pre-screening skills
• Experience in care with migrant youth.

Other Requirements:*

• Pass a DHS criminal history background
• Meet agency driving requirements.

Starting Pay Rate:*
Bilingual (Spanish) Case Manager: $23.58 - $25.02
Schedule:
Sunday-Thursday: one position
Tuesday-Saturday: two positions
This position offers a flexible and hybrid schedule, with the opportunity to work from home. We are open to discuss a personalized schedule that meet the candidates needs while maintaining compliance with the program expectations.

The regular schedule is from 09:00am to 05:30pm.
If you are interested in working a 1:30pm to 10:00pm, you would be eligible for an hourly bonus differential (conditions apply).
