Primary Purpose of the Organizational Unit
The mission of the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders is the preparation of diverse students as exemplary, culturally responsive professionals and leaders in the fields of speech-language pathology and audiology. The Department is committed to providing the highest quality academic, research, and clinical training, and to instill in students a desire to make significant contributions to the profession, to the people whom we serve, and to our community.

Position Summary
  • Assist with the administration of language assessments to Latino preschool children (training provided) at preschools in the Greensboro and High Point areas.
  • Assist with data entry


Minimum Qualifications
  • Experience with children
  • Experience with data collection and entry
  • Ability to closely follow lab procedures
  • Native-like fluency in both English and Spanish (for Bilingual research assistants)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Valid Driver’s License and reliable personal transportation to and from preschools
  • CITI certificated (UNCG Basic Course/Student Researcher Modules/Human Research) or willing to complete certification prior to starting the job

Background in education, communication science disorders, early childhood or psychology preferred
