Billing and Credentialing Specialist Job at Key Connections ABA Services, LLC
The Billing Specialist of Key Connections ABA Services will assist the Administrative Coordinator, Program Director and Executive Director with management of the operational functions related to the agencies billing practices including oversight of the software platform used for practice management implementation (i.e., AccuPoint), alignment of units and coding for authorizations and weekly meetings with the billing management team. The Billing Specialist will ensure compliance with all state, federal, payors and accreditation regulations, while maintaining high quality of service.
Requirements:
· Must be at least 21 years of age
· A minimum one-year experience in working in similar role within a behavioral or medical practice, ABA preferred
· Working knowledge of insurance payor regulations, systems, and billing software, experience with AccuPoint a plus
· Access to reliable transportation
· Proof of vehicle insurance
· Proficient in Office 365 Suite, such as Microsoft Word and Excel
· Excellent communication and people skills
· Exceptional organizational and customer services skills
· Time management and efficiency skills
Job Duties:
· Promotes and practices the company's mission and values and follows policies and procedures of the organization.
· Assists with defining administrative key goals, develops individually or collaborates with the team to improve operational and billing procedures
· Reviews weekly reporting package received from billing software provider, works with the team and AccuPoint rep to ensure claims are processed efficiently
· Preparation of billing data for medical claims submission to insurance companies
· Preparation of Patient Responsibility and Private Pay invoices
· Posts live check payments received in-office to billing software
· Maintains client and employee profiles within billing software
· Maintains payor spreadsheets, contractual agreements and collection reports
· Assists with eligibility requirements as it relates to setting up services and payment schedules
· Periodic quality assurance checks on billing practices of staff documentation and record keeping
· Maintain billing-related electronic and paper documentation
· Maintain consistent professional manner that follows HIPAA compliance
Reports to: Executive Director
Availability: Weekdays
Position Type: Hourly 20 hrs/week, Part-Time
Pay: Commensurate with experience
