WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We are looking for a superstar Accounting Specialist to play an integral role in the day-to-day operations of our accounting team. You will be responsible for a specific group of clients, and will assist in the month-end close, preparing various reports for the team, performing job reconciliations, and handling job costing and billing.

HERE’S WHAT YOU’LL DO (RESPONSIBILITIES)

• Responsible for a specific group of clients – Client billing, WIP and A/R, monthly reporting, lead monthly billing meetings with Business Leadership

• Monitor estimate completion for their clients. Approve estimates in accounting system. Maintain all estimates, approvals, and records for audit purposes

• Open new job numbers, job reconciliation & timely closing

• Maintain and update revenue tools for their clients

• Various month-end close responsibilities for their clients, including revenue recognition and earned but unbilled recording & commentary

• Monitor and improve Momentum working capital, through timely billing, pre-billing when possible, and collections for their clients.

• Prepare various reports for the Account Service team including retainer reports.

• Assist in maintaining SOX compliance, and ensure financial records are maintained in compliance with IPG standard policies and procedures.

• Assist in preparing audit requests.

• Assist with ad hoc projects that arise.

HERE’S WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR (QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS)

• 2 plus years of billing and/or accounting experience

• Bachelors degree (complete or in the process) in Accounting or Business preferred

• Billing and Accounts Receivable experience needed

• Solid Excel experience

• SAP experience a plus

• Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and strong written and oral communication skills are required

• Ability to interact with all levels of management and employees

• Advertising or service industry experience is a plus, especially knowledge of project-based businesses and job accounting.
