The Yamanaka lab is
famous
for its pioneering work in reprogramming adult cells into pluripotent stem cells. We are now accepting applications for a Bioinformatician to start in the Summer of 2023 or earlier. The Bioinformatician will be working closely with senior researchers on research projects in reprogramming, stem/progenitor cells and rejuvenation. Each project has a prospect of resulting in one or two publications over the span of two years. The Bioinformatician is expected to contribute to the project by bioinformatics. Specific techniques employed in the project include but are not limited to single cell RNA-seq, single cell ATAC-seq, bulk RNA-seq, DNA methylation array and mass-spectrometry. Prospective candidates that have an undergraduate degree in Computational Biology and Data Sciences or related fields are encouraged to apply. Prior work experience in a bioinformatics lab and excellent communication skills are a plus. The Bioinformatician is expected to possess a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills. Hiring Range:
$87K-$100K
