Position: Biomedical Engineering Manager (with Imaging Modalities Experience)
Location: On-Site Schedule: Flexible Hours (Direct Hire/Full-Time)

Job Summary: The Biomedical Engineering Manager is responsible for managing the overall operations and distribution of resources (staffing and outside vendor services) of the imaging equipment support services program. The Biomedical Engineering will manage the Imaging Team and support resources to recommend, develop, implement and support biomedical Imaging services and medical Imaging technology that is safe, secure, and highly reliable. Enhancing services through strong communication and collaboration with cross functional team and ensure the imaging services comply with Joint Commission, FDA, State and other regulatory and inspection agency requirements, guidelines and standards. Accountable for reporting quality metrics and recommending changes that lead to improved patient and employee safety. (Imaging Management Experience in different Modalities Required)

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Hospital/Medical Imaging Management with experience in similar role
  • 7 years medical equipment services (Required)
  • 4 years Imaging Experience (Required)
  • Associates Degree (Bachelor’s preferred) - Biomedical Engineering Technology, Electronic Technology)

Responsibilities:

Leadership:

  • Overseeing Imaging Team competency in strategic thinking and leadership
  • Determine and distribute proper staffing levels and training to provide imaging equipment support services at assigned customer accounts.
  • Manage team schedules, payroll and On-Call rotation.

People Management:

  • Perform recruiting, hiring, training, mentoring, training, development needs for Imaging Staff to obtain necessary training, test equipment, and tools needed to expand the areas of technical services provided by the Radiology department and maximize staffing resources and improvements

Service Management & Operational Support:

  • Manage and determine root cause for imaging equipment maintenance, installation, maintain documentation of services on a variety of technologies through equipment planning, maintenance management, preventive maintenance, equipment troubleshooting and repair, vendor management, periodical review and detailed written and computer documentation
  • Understand and comply with the Joint Commission and other applicable standards and regulations
  • Manage 24/7 On Call responsibilities

Project & Contract Management:

  • Developing and Maintaining Good Vendor Partnerships. Review all new contracts and contract renewals for imaging modalities. Participates in contract term and pricing negotiations. Tracks renewal dates, and engages in contract renegotiation

Work Environment: This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment.

Appearance: All personnel shall be attired in business casual clothing for daily work. Attire worn should always ensure employees safety from working conditions (long pants, appropriate shirts and close toe shoes as required): on occasion, staff may be required to wear a business dress for certain activities.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift or move office products and supplies, up to 20 pounds.
