Bioskills Lab & Marketing Materials Manager

The Bioskills Lab & Marketing Materials Manager (BL&MMM) is responsible for managing the shipping, logistics, and inventory control of marketing materials as well as ensuring the compliance of our Cadaver Labs. The BL&MMM will partner with internal and external customers including Regional and Field Sales, Product Management, and Events to ensure adequate marketing material support for tradeshows, surgeon trainings, and sales representative product training. They will also ensure that the Lab managers are following proper setup, take down and sterilization practices are being followed. The BL&MMM will be responsible for ensuring adequate allocation of daily and going tasks and workload across the team, providing regular and timely feedback to team members, and managing problematic situations.

Candidate must be in Portland Metro Area, Oregon. Role is hybrid with 2-3 days onsite and 2-3 days works remotely.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Provide managerial leadership to Marketing Material Specialists & Bioskills Lab Managers.
  • Provide daily task management, ongoing performance development, and annual performance reviews.
  • Analyze shipping volumes, open customer orders, and priorities to ensure on time delivery.
  • Compile and report department metrics to the Vice President of the organization on a monthly basis.
  • Manage complex customer and shipping situations, such as international shipments, agent/distributor charges, challenging customers.
  • Evaluate process and system improvements, implement for both Marketing Material Warehouses and Cadaver Labs as agreed upon with Vice President of the organization.
  • Monitor internal and external requests via SharePoint and fulfill inventory requests of display surgical sets, workshop sets, display materials, tradeshow materials including booths, and literature.
  • Manage international and domestic marketing material shipments for events ensuring accurate, complete and on-time shipments.
  • Monitor and analyze stock levels and make recommendations to adjust to appropriate levels to ensure availability.
  • Support ordering, preparing and maintaining the inventory of marketing materials, such as: display models, tradeshow materials, workshop sets, samples, training materials, sawbones, etc.
  • Understand the proper configuration of Company kits and products to help ensure timely and proper restock of all systems.
  • Purchase warehouse supplies ensuring adequate levels including office supplies, boxes, and packing materials across all locations.
  • Process invoices to ensure that inventory and freight charges are coded to the correct general ledger accounts, the amounts are tracked, and reported. Monitor lab expenses to ensure adherence to the budget.
  • Ensure that compliance requirements are being met as it relates to specimens, training protocols, cleaning and equipment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a managerial or supervisory role.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in shipping and logistics or warehouse.
  • Knowledge of international transportation, including knowledge of the legality of international shipping, paperwork, temporary imports, is strongly preferred.
  • Maintain professionalism and diplomacy at all times; work effectively under pressure, maintain composure and adhere to daily deadlines.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills required for interacting with customers and coworkers.
  • Experience working with SAP preferred. Intermediate to advanced computer skills (i.e. MS Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Ability to follow health and safety procedures and regulations at all times
  • Ability to read and speak English sufficiently to read, understand and complete paperwork.
