The Blending Operator performs work station blending operations and blender duties in blending room. They are responsible for meeting the blend schedule, reaching their daily goals and objectives as well as maintaining a clean orderly work area.

• Reads schedule/work order sheets (formulas) and confirms raw material ingredients and lot numbers of all raw materials
• Inspects the quality and integrity of all raw materials used. Stops all production if there are issues regarding material quality.
• Reads and understands formulas and mixing instructions and follows sequence, screening and mix time requirements
• Follows verbal and written instructions from supervisors and lead people
• Measures/weighs raw materials and counts accurately
• Assumes responsibility for basic quality assurance concerning equipment
• Cleans and sanitizes blending equipment following defined procedures for cleaning and sanitizing
• Completes daily assignments with minimum supervision
• Maintains neat and accurate daily production records
• Places product to be reworked into drums or other containers
• Maintains a clean and sanitary work area
• Safely stacks bags on pallet
• Maintains daily blend summary sheet and blending performance sheet
• Works with production to ensure schedule stays on track
• Ensures proper sanitation is done on blenders
• Works with maintenance to ensure proper P. M. 's are being done
• Tracks operator performance daily
• Ensures staging and scaling stay ahead and notify them with schedule changes
• Monitors the levels of raw materials and notifies management of possible shortages
• Ensures blending rooms are kept clean and organized
• Other duties as manager sees fit

Job Requirements:

• Ability to work in varying temperature conditions.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds including above head and below the waist for 50% or more of shift.
• Ability to stand for long periods.
• Must be able to work at line speed with the ability to make coordinated hand and finger movements.
