As part of a diverse and hardworking team of technicians, you will perform multiple NDT methods for various spaceflight systems. You will share in the team’s impact on all aspects of assuring part integrity, quality, and life span. This position will directly impact the history of space exploration and will require your dedicated commitment and detailed attention towards safe and repeatable spaceflight.
Responsibilities:
- Perform radiographic inspections (RT) using film and digital panels
- If previously certified, perform inspections using computed tomography (CT)
- Establish and maintain techniques to accurately examine hardware, ensuring adherence to all safety and specification requirements
- Interpret inspection results and apply acceptance criteria identified on drawings or shop work orders
- Perform all vital daily, weekly, and monthly process control checks
- Documentation and organization of inspection results
- Interface/connect with engineering and/or Managers to describe inspection results
Qualifications:
- Level 2 experience in radiography (Film, DR Digital Radiography, or CR Computed Radiography)
- Must be able to pass Radiography General Test within a week of start date, and a Specific Test by week 3 (General Test study materials will be provided if needed)
- High School Diploma or GED
- Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion
- Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum
Desired:
- Computed Tomography (CT) experience
- Experience shooting, processing, and interpreting radiographic film
- Experience with isotope work
- Dye penetrant (PT)
- Experience in low rate to high mix production environment, preferably in aerospace
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes including welding, additive manufacturing, forging, casting, and composites fabrication
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $14.49 - $41.94 per hour
