Job description:

Optimum Technology is looking for a Bookkeeper to manage bookkeeping and office-related tasks for our IT solutions and general operations. This position is mostly at our Powell office, with the flexibility to occasionally work remote. Responsibilities are:

  • Managing all aspects of general ledger, accounts receivable, and accounts payable
  • Processing all weekly payments and deposits
  • Handling payroll information and coordinating payroll processing through our outsourced payroll company
  • Balancing and managing credit card statements and cash flow across the company
  • Coordinating with Optimum’s outside accounting firm for payroll tax filings, annual tax preparation, and audits. Note that this position will be responsible only for the coordination of tax-related items
  • Performing bank reconciliations and preparing financial statements
  • Supporting management in the administration of benefits for all employees
  • Assisting in the procurement of office-related supplies, furniture, equipment, and office space
  • Providing additional support and reporting as needed
  • This position will report directly to Optimum’s executive team

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of Associate’s degree, preferably in Finance, Accounting, or Business
  • Must have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in bookkeeping/accounting
  • Must have thorough understanding of QuickBooks Software
  • Must have previous experience with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
  • Must have previous experience with General Ledgers
  • Must have excellent skills with Word and Excel
  • Must possess exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
  • Must possess a flexible nature and be able to juggle multiple tasks at once
  • Well-organized with a high attention to detail and accuracy

This can be a full time or part time position. The full time position will be a monthly fixed salary on a W-2 basis. It will come with an attractive benefits package including medical, vision and dental insurance, matching 401K, and generous PTO.
