Job Description: Bowling Desk Attendant
Reports to: Bowling Manager
As the Malibu Jack’s Bowling Desk Attendant, you are responsible for assisting in the daily operations of our bowling lanes. Your job will be to help customers have a great time by helping them find the best solution for what they're looking for, processing transactions and assisting with lane set up, shoe rental, ball selection and bowling instructions. The bowling desk attendant will become an expert in their area.
Responsibilities include:
- Observes players to determine misuse of lanes or other equipment.
- Rents bowling shoes to patrons
- Reserves lanes for bowling league or individuals
- maintaining cleanliness of bowling desk area
- Provide bowling guests with efficient, courteous customer service
- Maximize the utilization of lanes and equipment through efficient control of customer flow
- Issue lanes to guests, assists with tournaments and special events/promotions
- Maintain procedures for credit control, handling of financial transactions, and security of monies
- Clean bowling lanes, gutters and ball return areas
- Retrieve, transport, and store parts and supplies
- Assist mechanics as needed with repair duties
- Follow safety procedures related equipment operation and use of chemicals, repair pinsetter auto-scoring equipment
- Inspect Bowling area, and public areas for cleanliness and appearance on a daily basis.
- Follows and ensures that Policies and Procedures of the Bowling property are followed
- Ensures control/protection of company assets
- Work nights, weekends and holidays as required
- Performs other duties as assigned
Must be 18 years of age or older
Must be able to lift 30lbs unaided
