Tetra Tech is currently seeking a Bridge Engineer to join our Oklahoma City Transportation Group who, under the direction of a project manager, will prepare Bridge design plans for Oklahoma Department of Transportation, Oklahoma Turnpike Authority and other Local agencies. A typical day might include leading or assisting in the development of project designs and directing junior engineers, designers and CADD technicians to successfully execute and deliver project work, while implementing client focused strategies.
Your Role:
- Design bridges and culverts
- Plan production including 3D Modeling and CADD
- Load rate analysis of bridges
- Site visits to support the design process
- Utilize structural design software
- Preparing structural evaluation studies and similar reports
- Computations of quantities, plan notes and develops cost estimates
- Supervises the design and ongoing progress of a project, including the coordination of the project with city, state and county officials and other outside agencies and sub-consultants
- Participates in business development efforts and meets with clients
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with structural design emphasis.
- PE license, required
- 10+ years of engineering experience, which must include bridge design and plans production
- Familiarity with the ODOT Bridge directives and Bridge standards
- Experience with computer software such as MicroStation,AutoCAD, LEAP Bridge, ASSJHTOWare BR
- Knowledge of OpenBridge Designer preferred
- Qualifications and experience as Bridge Inspection Team Leader in Oklahoma is a plus
- Must possess a valid driver’s license, with a favorable driving record
- Strong written and verbal communications skills
