We are currently hiring a Business Analyst to support our customer located in Washington, DC (This position is fully remote). Please review the requirements below and if you would like to be considered, we encourage you to apply!

Position overview

Support the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Electronic Health Record Modernization Integration Office (EHRM-IO) program as a Business Analyst. The analyst supports the DAS PM and team with meeting coordination, meeting minutes, action items, WBS, IMS, Risks, documentation support, VIP, acquisition support, budget support, RTM, etc.

In addition, the analyst will assist in the migration of DAS to the cloud. This migration will require support in standing up new environments and testing DAS functionality within the cloud environments.

Requirements:

Minimum qualifications:

  • 5+ years of professional work experience
  • Must have experience in evaluating data provided by cost estimators to create overall cost versus benefit assessment
  • Experience with software acquisition evaluation while considering functional benefits, technical performance, risks, and schedule concerns
  • Must have experience in standing up AWS and Azure instances
  • Must have some application and infrastructure testing experience
  • Ability to cope well under pressure, high-paced workstreams, and/or short deadlines
  • Must be highly effective at communicating both vertically and horizontally with team members and senior staff
  • Must have strong investigative and analytical skills, critical thinking and be detail oriented
  • Must be flexible and efficient at multi-tasking in a high profile and fast-paced environment
  • Ability to manage across geographically diverse teams
  • Must be highly organized and self-motivating, maintaining high integrity and high confidence
  • Bachelor’s degree in Operations Research, Mathematics, Computer Science, Cost Accounting or related scientific or technical discipline is required, or an additional 8 years of relevant experience may be substituted for degree requirements

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in the VA
  • Experience implementing Electronic Health Records

Other Requirements:

Must be fully vaccinated with the COVID vaccine.

Employment Type: Full Time / Permanent

Working Conditions:

Business work hours are from Monday through Friday, (day shift) 40-hour week. This position is fully remote.

Physical Requirements:

Employee needs to be able to sit at a workstation for extended periods; use hand(s) to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. Most positions require ability to work on desktop or laptop computer for extended periods of time reading, reviewing/analyzing information, and providing recommendations, summaries and/or reports in written format. Must be able to effectively communicate with others verbally and in writing. Employee may be required to occasionally lift and/or move moderate amounts of weight, typically less than 20 pounds. Regular and predictable attendance is essential.
