The Business Continuity Associate will collaborate with Business Unit Managers and Directors to assist in developing and implementing plans to anticipate, address, and mitigate the effects of various business interruptions. The Business Continuity Associate will also assist the Health, Safety, Security, and Environmental as needed.

Location: Richardson, Texas (minimum of 3 days a week onsite)

• Assist in the development and maintenance of a physical business recovery plan and procedures; reviews, revises, and expands existing plans and protocols.
• Assist in conducting risk assessments for various business units and functions, analyzing potential business impacts of unpredictable business interruptions such as natural disasters, physical security breaches, and physical disruptions.
• Collaborates with IT staff during interruptions to restore business operations.
• Assist in identifying and implementing recovery operations and methods to allow the company to function at limited or partial capacity if part or all the infrastructure is damaged or destroy
• Assist with the creation and facilitation of practice drills for plan evacuations
• Assist with the development and training of risk management and disaster recovery
• Assist with the coordination and collaboration with local, state, and federal agencies to align the organizations emergency management plan with established best practices and community standards
• Performs other related duties as assigned
• Required Skills/Abilities:
• Understanding of Business Continuity
• Strategic, problem-solving, and analytical skills
• Ability to think through hypothetical situations and concepts and to identify risks and weaknesses in various business processes
• Ability to collaborate with others
• Excellent Communication Skills
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and related software

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Occupational Health and Safety, or similar field
• 2-5 years of Business Continuity experience or similar experience

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
• Must be able to lift to 15 pounds at times.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year

• 8 hour shift
