Business Development Manager/Hunter - Air/Ocean Freight
Salary - $75k to $125k base plus commission.
Minimum 2 years plus of industry-related Sales experience required working within the Freight Forwarding Industry.
Freight Sales should be primarily focused on International Air/Ocean.

Role:
The primary duty of this position will be to plan and carry out direct sales activities to attain new accounts in accordance with agreed sales and business plans. Work with Branch Manager and Vice President of Sales to grow revenue and exceed targets by promoting and selling our business and driving sales activity through a designated territory. This position will require travel outside of the place of business.

Responsibilities:
Sales and Business Development
Develop new and prospective customers while maintaining existing accounts
Build & maintain long term relationships with new & existing clients & ensure high level of client satisfaction
Assist Vice President of Sales & Branch Managers in the preparation and negotiation of bids, RFQ’s & quotations with customers, suppliers and overseas agents
Assist with sales campaigns and events in conjunction with local and overseas partners
Co-ordinate and attend sales visits both in the USA and with overseas partners for aiding business development if applicable

Performance Measures:
Fulfill all identified responsibilities consistently with minimal supervision required
Demonstrates the ability to interact effectively through speech, writing and professional presentation in order to deliver successful business results

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: SKILLS/ ABILITIES:
Bachelor’s degree or certification preferred
Knowledge of related computer applications and reporting tools
Familiar with all freight forwarding procedures, products, regulations & departments
2 plus years of industry related experience required
Demonstrated Customer Service skills
Proven Sales and Business selling ability & success
Strong customer service background
Self-motivated and results driven
Outstanding people and communications skills
Excellent problem-solving ability
Excellent Time Management skills
Strong negotiation and presentation skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
