Position: Business Intelligence Analyst

Summary/Objective
The Business Intelligence Analyst is responsible for data consultation and analytic support through business analysis, design, development, testing and implementation of queries. The incumbent will work closely with management and other key personnel to meet the desired business objective of providing comprehensive data reporting solutions that help management and clinical leaders run our business effectively.
Responsibilities
- Support senior managements clinical, financial, and operational reporting needs.
- Query and work with large data sets to produce clear and concise reports on both a production and ad hoc basis for internal and external stakeholders; may assist in processes related to data validation and preparation.
- Manage internal data requests including working with requestor to understand needs and effectively explaining results to end users.
- Develop and manage end user reporting tools and report distribution to ensure timely availability of standard, ad hoc, and self-serve reporting with appropriate security and safeguards to protect PHI.
- Project manage new work related to reporting and analytics from project kickoff to completion.
Required Skills and Experience
- Advanced SQL proficiency, SSMS, and Visual Studio required.
- Experience developing and supporting ETL processes. SSIS is desirable.
- Some database administration experience required. Supporting SQL Server Agent jobs, a plus
- Experience querying clinical and administrative data available in EHRs is highly desirable, especially in EPIC
- Knowledge of the EPIC data model and reporting tools a plus. Participates in training classes as required
- Experience with SSRS, SAP Business Objects, Crystal Reports, or similar reporting tool.
- Perform requirements analysis and document specifications for new and modified reports
- Provide guidance and technical support to users regarding EPIC Workbench, Slicer Dicer, SAP Business Objects, Excel and other reporting/analytical software
- Perform appropriate data testing and QA to ensure the accuracy of data and reporting based on the specifications Verify/validate congruence of OCHS systems data with external repositories.
- Works well with others, understanding different perspectives and finding collaborative ways to get the job done.
- Self-starter. Strong desire to learn and work independently.
- Preferred minimum of 3 years experience in medical data analysis.

Work Environment
- Hybrid/remote. It is expected that employees will report to the office for training and team meetings regularly scheduled by their supervisor.
Hours of Work
- The role is paid on a salaried basis.
- The hours of work for this position are: 40 hours per week
- Typically, full-time salaried employees work 40 hours during a Monday through Friday or Sunday through Saturday workweek. This salaried position, therefore, the full-time individual, is expected to work as required to complete the duties of the position. This may mean hours beyond 40 per week are required.
