New Glarus Home is now hiring for a Business Office Billing Assistant
The right candidate for this position will be an individual who is customer service, detail and data oriented. In this position, it is not just about the numbers. It is also about the people that you will help understand the numbers.
The Business Office Assistant is responsible assisting with the daily office operations and financial functions of the New Glarus Home (NGH) which includes but is not limited to administrative support, concierge services and reception to vendors, residents, tenants and staff as well as processing accounts payables and accounts receivables.
Essential Job Functions:
- Maintains office equipment and inventory supply levels and replenishes as needed
- Assist with resident / tenant mailings, and prepares communications for billing or campus knowledge
- Placing calls to Insurance companies to verify benefits and follow up on denied claims
- Notify service providers of payer source information and changes examples include but are not limited to Medicaid, HealthDirect, and Country View.
- Total monthly resident charge sheets and enter Ancillary Charge into billing system for Medicare A, Replacements and NGH charges at month end.
- Verify Medicaid enrollment and monthly liability amounts; work with ADRC and RN Case Manager as residents qualify for MA
- Maintain payer census and ensures integrity of data
- Performs various office duties such as answering telephone & relaying messages, receive, sort and coordinate daily mail and deliveries
- Greet and identify public (visitors, vendors, consultants, clients, etc.) and their purpose for entering the building, and direct them to appropriate destinations following established protocol and procedure
- General administrative duties including typing, copying, faxing documents, and preparing information for meetings as needed
Educational/Experience:
- High school diploma/GED required
- Experience with Medicaid or Medicare preferred but not required
- 1-2 years previous office experience
