Job Purpose:
The Business and Supply Chain Administrator works in cross-functional environments including Marketing, Sales, Quality, Engineering and Manufacturing in support of division goals. Responsible for the sales organization, customer service, and all of the divisions business functions. Communicates with customers to determine their requirements for products and services while also developing cost estimates processing and closing orders. Manages all aspects of the organization's supply chain management and operations, including procurement, vendor relations, production, and logistics. Oversee demand forecasting, supply planning, and procurement to ensure resource requirements are satisfied. Communicates with executives regarding business needs to secure resources needed to satisfy customer demands and ensure delivery and/or implementation.
As the Business & Supply Chain Administrator, the team member will:
- Submit various reports to include direct hours and shipments, actual daily shipments, GP%, and OTD. Maintain High Probability Quotations and report to applicable department.
- Processes incoming customer inquiries for quotes, requests for information and orders. Creates and submits quotes to Customer. Analyzes the content of the order, supplying missing or incomplete information, verifying the accuracy of the information, including pricing, discounts, conditions of sale, shipping instructions and initiating the internal order in the company ERP system.
- Studying documents such as drawings or specifications, consulting with Kingsbury's engineering and manufacturing personnel and reviewing costs of similar products previously made by Kingsbury.
- Maintains current knowledge of shop backlog manufacturing capacity.
- Estimating production lead times for quotations and new orders based on contacts with the engineering, manufacturing, and quality control departments.
- Submit and follow up with proposals to customers as well as reviewing opportunity and solicit input from other departments.
- Perform Purchasing Agent duties related to all aspects of the manufacturing process, maintain purchased inventory levels, monitors deliveries dates and quality of deliveries, review, process and reconcile vendor invoices against purchase orders and accounting codes.
- Monitor Supplier Performance reports, attend monthly meetings with Corporate Purchasing department, and head any Corrective Actions for YC.
- Perform Material Coordinator duties related to creating job routers, item numbers, job material transactions for inventory/supplies, and job order closing.
- Interface with manufacturing planning, engineering, sales, and quality personnel in order to identify material requirements, identify overdue materials and track them.
- Project management oversight and assistance with PM, EHS, and ISO Audits as required.
- Head of internal inventory audits by Corporate – WIP and Inventory.
- Ensures a safe and healthy work environment by building a culture of teamwork, collaboration, continuous improvement, and safe work practices. Assist in maintaining EHS programs and reporting to ensure compliance to environmental and OSHA regulations and reporting.
- Some travel may be required.
- Completes special projects and other duties as assigned.
Abilities and Other Skills:
Language: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Mathematical: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from Four‐year College or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
