Tuesdays and Thursdays, position is structured to work between campus locations: Riverside, Redlands, Rancho Cucamonga
SALARY: $15.50 per hour

The Campus Services Associate Provides high level of proactive student and customer services at regional campuses of the University of Redlands, serving graduate and professional students in the School of Business & Society, School of Education, and School of Continuing Studies.
Reporting to the Director of Student Success, this position assists in the day-to-day operations of the campus and management of the facility. This position requires flexibility and availability to work nights and occasional Saturdays with regular travel to the assigned Rancho Cucamonga and Riverside campus work locations.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Greets visitors, answers multiple phone lines, serves as front line representative at regional campus.
- Assists with student-related activities and provides event support for various events that occur at the regional campus.
- Collaborates with the Director of Student Success, regional campus’s Assistant Directors of Student Success and Enrollment, faculty, staff, and others as needed to deliver information and services to students enrolled or enrolling into programs at the regional campus.
- Uses CRM and/or student information systems to look up, enter and monitor various activities and data points.
- Supports a positive learning/teaching environment and serves as a building monitor to ensure campus is accessible during scheduled hours of operation and campus safety/security requirements are adhered to and emergency procedures are followed when applicable.
- Coordinates with the Director of Student Success to confirm space availability, classroom assignments, campus equipment inventories, etc.
- Monitors facility to ensure full functionality, reports issues or repairs as needed, to include interacting with external property management representatives as well as main campus departments such as Facilities Management and Technology Services.
- Maintains facility schedules for classroom usage; prepares location signs and written and electronic communication about classroom and instructor assignments.
- Collaborates with others to ensure high-quality experience for all who visit and utilize the regional campus.
- Assists faculty and students with using the classroom equipment (computer, LCD projector, connected class, etc.) and any connectivity issues when needed.
- Coordinates day-to-day office functions including reception, mail, fax, telephone, e-mail, ordering and tracking office and breakroom supplies, maintaining campus facilities, and managing the routine operations of the campus facility.
- Performs other duties and special projects as assigned.
Qualification Guidelines
Any combination equivalent to, but not limited to, the following:
Experience/Training/Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent supplemented with two years of additional course work in related fields such as business, secretarial, word processing and spreadsheet programs.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Three years of administrative support experience or related experience including the ability to use Microsoft Office software programs.
- A valid California Class C driver's license with a with a good driving record is required.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Knowledge of University, operations, policies, and objectives.
- Knowledge of English grammar, spelling, and punctuation and be able to clearly communicate orally and in writing.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Basic knowledge of mathematics.
- Excellent organizational skills, and detail orientated with high accuracy.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines and work independently and with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
- Effective communication and presentation skills; ability to write clearly and concisely.
- Demonstrate a high degree of motivation, tact, and diplomacy.
- Basic knowledge of record keeping and record retention requirements.
- Proficiency in computer skills using Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to operate standard office equipment.
- Aptitude to learn new and evolving technology.
- Knowledge of applicable federal and state laws and regulations.
- Understand, interpret, and apply federal and state policies and laws.

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:
Working Conditions:
Standard office and field setting. Duties performed are primarily in an office environment while sitting at a desk or computer workstation or in meetings. At least minimal environmental controls to assure health and comfort. Must be flexible and able to work evening and weekend hours, as well travel to assigned campus locations.
Physical Demands:
Incumbents regularly stand for long periods of time; speak clearly and distinctly to provide information; see to read fine print and operate computer; hear and understand voices over telephone and in person; use hands and fingers to operate an electronic keyboard or other office machines; walk on a regular basis; travel to various locations; finger dexterity may be required to utilize and operate the specialized tools and equipment; distinguish colors and have depth perception; reach with hands and arms; pushing, pulling lifting and occasional crawling; stoop or kneel or crouch; and lift, carry and/or move objects typically weighing up to 10 pounds.

HIRING RANGE: Anticipated hiring range is near or at the minimum of the classification, commensurate with candidate's education, experience, skills, and training. The University of Redlands is required to provide a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This range takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. It is not typical for an individual to be offered a salary at or near the top of the range for a position. Salary offers are determined based on final candidate qualifications and experience. The full salary range for this position is defined as the Full Pay Range. The budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position defined as the Hiring Range. Placement within the Hiring Range is determined by internal equity, and relevant qualifications.
BACKGROUND CHECK: Satisfactory completion of a background check (including a criminal records check) is required for employment. DRIVER'S LICENSE CHECK: Possession of a valid Driver's License is required for certain positions. PHYSICAL AND PSYCHOLOGICAL EXAMS: For certain positions typically in Public Safety, Facilities, Athletics and Information Technology Services departments, employment is contingent upon a candidate passing a pre-employment physical exam with the ability to lift in excess of 50 lbs. Public Safety Officers, in addition to a pre-employment physical exam, will also be required to pass a psychological evaluation.
