Position Description

Assist the Dalwhinnie Farms production team in all aspects of production operations. This is an active environment focusing on the processing, harvesting, and packaging of plant material. Production teams include the following tasks: harvesting, drying, curing, trimming, packaging and sales fulfillment.

Responsibilities and Expectations

This position includes, but is not limited to the following:

• Assisting with cutting down plants
• Moving plants and material from one room to another
• Maintaining a clean workspace compliant with the MED
• Running, cleaning, and otherwise maintaining machinery specific to Post Harvest tasks
• Organizing large quantities of product
• Organizing and recording METRC tags according to MED standards
• Following proper safety protocol at all times
• Communicating with team members and management to accomplish tasks assigned
• Keeping track of separate strains and harvest batches
• Burping material
• Ability to work as a team and individually
• Weigh and record plants and material
• Move totes from one area to another
• Production schedule/environment

ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS

• Reports to Post Harvest Manager

PREFERRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

• Production facility experience (cannabis preferred)
• Ability to maintain a strong work ethic while performing repetitive tasks
• Experience operating machinery or being mechanically-inclined is a plus
• Great organizational skills, communication, and growth-mindset
• Cannabis post-harvest experience is a plus
• Service industry background
• Ability to remain grounded in a startup work environment

PHYSICAL DEMANDS / ENVIRONMENT

• Available to work 40+ hours per 7-day week
• Able to lift 50 lbs
• Ability to be on feet moving around all day (harvest) or being seated all day (trim)

Must be at least 21 years of age and have ability to pass a background check to obtain a Colorado MED badge. Cost of badge reimbursed after 90 days of employment.
