Starting Salary Range $64,594 – $83,346 (Management Salary Band 3, Range A)
Salary/Compensation Statement:

- Lane Community College is considered a qualifying public employer for the purposes of the Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program. Through the Public Service Loan Forgiveness program, full-time employees working at the College may qualify for forgiveness of the remaining balance on Direct Loans after 120 qualifying monthly payments under a qualifying repayment plan. Questions regarding your loan eligibility should be directed to your loan servicer or to the US Department of Education.

- Experience teaching CTE or within CTE or related industries

Position Purpose:
Provide leadership and administration for Lane Community College’s strategic program development, relationships and systems to support K-12 work-based learning opportunities, which support the vision, mission, core values, and strategic directions of the college. This position has the primary focus of providing leadership in fostering and supporting the development of a regional work-based learning environment for middle school CTE and Pre-STEM. This grant-funded position reports to the Director of High School Connections.
Essential Functions:
- Build relationships and connections for K-12 schools within LCC’s district that maintain, develop, and/or enhance CCL and Work-Based Learning (WBL) opportunities. This includes coordinating efforts with CTE programs, employers, colleges, local workforce development boards and STEM Hubs.
- Promotes and elevates the role of postsecondary institutions in training, education, and workforce development through a variety of methods including, but not limited to, presentations, information sessions, community events, and other marketing strategies to connect with stakeholders.
- Addresses capacity and equity gaps in regional CCL systems. Reviews system data, identify gaps and recommends targeted strategies for improvement. Assists with implementing recommendations and building nontraditional methods and partnerships to reach goals and address resource needs.
- Designs and conducts presentations and facilitates meetings with various stakeholders to create career-related opportunities for students.
- Uses intentional conversations to guide school districts and systems to support the personal and professional goals of students, identify potential challenges, and provide referrals to appropriate programs and services that support CCL.
- Demonstrates and practices proactive advising and facilitates follow-up sessions and feedback to high school administrators, teachers, counselors, and staff.
- Serves as a liaison for K-12 faculty, and administration into college classes, and programs as appropriate and relates to connecting CCL and student opportunities.
- Regularly collaborate with key partners in the region to build and maintain a CCL Resource Hub.
- Ensure equitable, high-quality Work Based Learning and CCL opportunities for students regardless of the size or location of their secondary school by supporting systems development.
- Provide professional learning and technical assistance to support best/promising practices that support the CCL domains.
- Prepare and submit grant invoices, track budget expenses, and report on activities and outcomes through accurate data and tracking systems.
- Align CCL Navigators activities with other programs that serve historically underrepresented student populations.
- Prepare information regarding the student outcomes of participants, to integrate into the
institution’s strategic planning processes. - Collaborate with Marketing to develop marketing materials.
- Assist K-12, college faculty, and department chairs to develop Statewide Programs of Study.
- Represent the college at CCL regional and state meetings, via webinar, virtual meetings, and/or in-person meetings.
- Attend CTE advisory committee meetings.
- Attend Statewide Program of Study meetings.
- Problem solve and manage sensitive information with appropriate awareness of FERPA standards; maintain confidentiality and sensitivity to the privacy needs of students.
- Other duties as assigned.

Physical Demands/Working Environment:
- This position works indoors and is exposed to usual office working conditions that include office noises and interruptions, such as printers, telephones, and visitors.
- This position requires that an employee is able to sit or stand for extended periods of time; perform cognitive and psychometric work for more than six (6) hours a day.
- This position may work with individuals who may be in crisis, have difficulty tracking, or in need of mental health support.
- Work may require transporting materials up to twenty-five (25) pounds.
