The Cash Receipts Clerk supports the Firm’s invoicing cycle through the execution of administrative and clerical tasks within the US Cash Receipts team. Key responsibilities include applying payments, applying writeoffs, generating reports, disseminating information, contributing to projects and other work as assigned.
Critical position requirements are accurate and timely work product while maintaining a service oriented outlook.
Responsibilities:
Essential Functions:
- Enters payments and write offs into the accounting system
- Consolidates payments to bills and edits the cash receipts into the system
- Prepares accounting reports for audit request letters
- Runs accounts receivable reports as necessary for management review
- Responds to questions regarding accounts receivable transactions from attorneys and clients
- Processes employee/partner exchange account credit card allocations and notifications
- Performs other duties as assigned or required to meet Firm goals and objectives
Qualifications:
Education/Training/Certifications:
- High School Degree, required
- Associates degree in a related field, preferred
- An equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered in lieu of the degree when the experience has been directly related to the functions of the job
Professional Experience:
- Experience working in a professional services or law firm setting, preferred
- Cash receipts experience, preferred
Technical Skills:
- Technological savviness, required
- Microsoft suite, required
- Strong ability to quickly learn software applications, required

- Meticulous, accurate and timely work product

Physical Requirements:
- May require occasional lifting of up to 20 lbs.
