The Cashier-Financial Counselor is responsible for providing patients with a positive financial experience by helping patients navigate and understand insurance benefits and potential financial liability.
Receives payments by cash, check, credit cards, vouchers. Issues receipts, refunds, credits, or change due to customers. Records all GL payments.
Serves as point of contact for all financial assistance related questions. Communicates with patients to identify and understand financial patient information.
Gather all relevant information required to process financial assistance requests. Documents all communication.
Maintains petty cash drawer, og, receipts and balances daily. Ensures bank deposits are made each business dayu.
Prepares reports of daily transactions and forwards to Accounting Department.
Assists in Patient Registration as needed.
Performs the daily sorting of incoming mail and esures outgoing postage is on all outgoing mail.
Full-Time, 40 hours per week. High School Diploma or GED required, Associate's Degree in Business Management or related acumen preferred. Two years experience in a hospital registration office or related business acumen preferred.
