Certified Personal Trainers Job at Hempfield recCenter
The Hempfield recCenter is looking for Certified Personal Trainers to hire immediately. Duties and responsibilities include:
- Developing safe, professional, and comprehensive client programs that drive client goal achievement and retention
- Monitoring and instructing clients during personal training sessions on the safe and effective use of cardiovascular, flexibility and strength training equipment
- Conducting fitness consultations for new clients and including pre-participation screenings, medical history, lifestyle, and goal setting to assess and recommend personal training programs
- Promoting and selling personal training packages
- Completing all administrative requirements associated with each client’s fitness plan
- Remaining current on all certifications and new trends in the industry
- Ensuring all members feel competent, confident, and connected by providing superior customer service
- Ability to offer approx. 6-week small group training sessions throughout the year
Key Qualifications:
- Nationally accredited personal training certification
- 1 year of personal training experience (preferred)
- Good communication skills; verbal, written and technical
- Have basic understanding of nutrition and healthy living practices (must stay within scope of practice with clients)
- Knowledgeable of a variety of exercise equipment and personal training methods
- Reliable transportation
- Strong and collaborative work ethic
- Flexible availability
- Must possess and maintain CPR/AED/First Aid certification or be willing to obtain within 6 months of hire date
- Pennsylvania state background clearance and child abuse clearance required
- Must be able to lift, push and pull up to 50 lbs. and perform athletic duties
