Requirements

Primary duties:

Perform patient assessment to evaluate appropriate sedation

Prepare the patient for anesthetic care

Provide sedation for patients before, during, and after surgery

Monitor patients and modify anesthetic dosage for maximum patient safety and comfort

Perform post-anesthesia patient assessment to evaluate readiness for discharge

Perform retrobulbar eye blocks - training and certification provided

• Currently licensed as a registered nurse and certified as a nurse anesthetist by the WA State board of nursing.
• Anticipate the needs of the surgeon and safely position the patients for procedures.
• Ophthalmic knowledge desired but not required
