Virginia Alcoholic Beverage Control Authority (VA ABC) is currently searching for a seasoned Change Management Practitioner. This position focuses on how people, systems and technology come together to deliver on essential programs and projects at Virginia ABC. We are seeking an experienced change agent who can autonomously manage end-to-end change efforts, including but not limited to change analysis and planning, training, communications and sustainability.
This is an individual contributor role, with opportunities to partner and collaborate with team members and key stakeholders to drive results of essential business transitions and transformations. DUTIES
The primary responsibility of the Change Management Practitioner is to serve internal customers who lead business-critical initiatives at Virginia ABC. Create and implement comprehensive change management plans that maximize employee adoption and performance, while also promoting a positive and productive work environment. The Change Management Practitioner works to drive faster adoption, higher utilization and greater proficiency of the changes that impact employees in the organization. They help bring the benefits of emerging changes to life, demonstrating business value while also creating a positive employee experience.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Serve as the lead Change Practitioner within the Change Management Office (CMO)
- Apply a structured and consistent change methodology
- Build and sustain strong customer relationships
- Effectively assess and address change impacts and resistance
- Design and deploy comprehensive change plans, including training, communications, metrics dashboard and sustainability plans
- Anticipate and address risks
- Consult and coach project teams
- Manage Performance (potential for people management opportunities over time)
- Support broader Transformation Office as needed
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in HR, Business, Education or related experience
- Experience leading change and/or people efforts where people have had to adapt to changes in processes, systems or behaviors
Preferred Qualifications
- 5-7 years experience leading change
- Prosci / ADKAR Change Practitioner certification
- Project Management certification
- Knowledge of and/or experience in private and public sectors
- Proven ability to toggle multiple initiative simultaneously
