The Chief Nursing Officer is responsible for the nursing practice and clinical services across Northwest Health Services. The Chief Nursing Officer will lead patient centered care services, through a structure that drives efforts and outcomes centered in continuous quality and improvement. The Chief Nursing Officer will collaborate across all functional areas of Northwest Health Services and be a though partner of the CEO delegating on their behalf, at times, serving as an operational doer who will focus on meaningful organizational focus areas.

Role & Responsibilities

• Establish the vision, strategy, and culture for the clinics to optimally support the attainment of Northwest Health Services mission.
• Direct the nursing operations and clinic services to effectively achieve Northwest Health Services’ strategic, financial, and operational plans.
• Lead the development of systems and processes that cultivate and deliver optimal service quality.
• Identify and develop an infrastructure and allocate resources to support operations, as appropriate, to ensure long-term viability.
• Serve as a strategic advisor to the Chief Executive Officer in the areas listed above.
• Develop collaborative relationships with Northwest Health Services internal and external stakeholders that align with the organization’s strategic intents.
• Collaborate with clinical operations, providers, and other system functions to ensure an integrated approach to high quality clinical services.
• Promote a positive work culture that is responsive to changes impacting healthcare.
• Recommends, supports, and participates in education services, programs of education, and training, including orientation of new employees. Encourages and facilitates the professional advancement of employees through education and experience.

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing, nursing leadership or an equivalent amount of experience.
• 5 plus years in a senior leadership role with direct supervision of one or more areas.
• 5 years of nursing leadership experience.
• Registered Nurse, licensed in the State of Missouri.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree in nursing or a related field, preferred.
