Child Care Provider (Part-Time) Job at Independent School District of Boise City
Work hours may include working 7:00-9:15 a.m. and/or 3:00-5:30 p.m.
Must be able to travel and work at any of the 13 JFK child care centers and work a variety of shifts. Please refer to the following link to check out the JFK site locations: www.boiseschools.org/jfk
Applicants must be able to obtain Boise City Child Care License, CPR and First Aid Certifications. Cost of CPR and First Aid classes will be reimbursed to the applicant once hired.
Must be flexible to work before and/or after school Monday through Friday, no weekends or night shifts; summer employment available for continuing employees.

*NEW* - Starting after July 1, 2022 new Classified employees may be eligible to receive credit for up to two years’ worth of credit for movement (steps) on the Classified Salary Schedule based on relevant prior work experience. To qualify, newly hired employees must provide this form, completed by your former employer(s), to Human Resources no later than the date of their fingerprinting and appointment.
Index: 01/C/03 ($14.56/hour) to 01/C/05 ($15.74/hour) depending on verified experience

Benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance and Public Employees’ Retirement System (PERSI) and are provided to Classified employees who work at least half time (20 hours per week) or more in a regular position and to Certified employees with a .50 FTE or greater contract.

- Graduation from high school or equivalent preferred.
- Course work in child development preferred.
- Knowledge of developmental needs of school-age children.
- Experience working with school-age children preferred.
- Ability to implement age-appropriate curriculum and completing other duties as assigned.
- Ability to follow oral and written directions.
- Ability to successfully communicate in written and verbal form with a variety of individuals.
- Ability to develop cooperative working relations with co-workers.
- Must obtain CPR and First Aid Certification within 30 days of employment
- Licensing requirements before beginning employment
- Background check and fingerprinting required as per city license.
The incumbent services the School Age Programs before and after school, non-school days, and during the summer program that operates from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Responsible to assist with the daily operations of the site in accordance with the Just for Kids and District policies and procedures.
