   The Chafee Foster Care Independence Program (CFCIP) is a federally funded, statewide independent living program that is county administered. The purpose of the Chafee Program is to provide age-appropriate independent living services to youth aged 16-21 who are in out-of-home placement or to young adults aged 18-23 who have a history of out of home placement.
 
 
 
   Denver Human Services is seeking an Independent Living Program Support Assistant IV to support Child Welfare Services on the Chafee team. This position will be primarily located at the Denver Human Services Castro Building, located at 1200 Federal Blvd. Denver, Co 80204. This is a hybrid position, and the expectation is to be in the office 3 days a week at this time.
 
 
 
   Generally, the Independent Living Administrative Support Assistant III:
 
 - Support processes for projects throughout the year for the Independent Living Program
- Process referrals submitted for Denver Chafee services for completeness and eligibility for the program. Maintain files and manage databases of client records
- Customer service interaction with caseworkers & supervisors, various DHS staff and City agencies, Colorado Department of Human Services staff, credit reporting agencies, and potentially the public as they outreach via the website and program email
- Process paperwork and maintain records for Supervised Independent Living Placements youth
- Compile data of services, youth outcomes, and supporting Program Manager in compiling data for evaluation efforts and program reports
- Request credit reports and conduct remediation processes on behalf of all DHS youth in out of home placement to meet Volume 7 requirements. Trails data entry of information related to processes
- Performs other related duties as assigned
